The cable tidy box arrived packed in a cardboard box and the unit was surrounded in bubble wrap. The box comes sealed with a card outer sleeve that has example images of the product in use. The dimensions noted on the box are 325mm W x 125mm D x 115mm H.
The cable tidy box is matt white which is great as it does not leave fingerprints and it would fit nicely in areas that have a white theme. The top of the box is a removable lid, which is held in place by 4 clips. It features the company logo and at each end there is a set of perforated holes. These help to dissipate heat from those hot plugs which house transformers. The rear of the box has three cut-outs which provide plenty of space to pass cables several large cables through. The smaller cut-outs are located at each end, measuring 25mm W x 94mm H with rounded ends. The larger cut-out is located in the middle measuring 98mm W with 21mm-40mm H (due to its curve).
The lid is removed simply by lifting it up and the inside provides room for a 4 socket extension cable (with surge protector). I have used this box to tidy up the clutter of cables behind the television. All plugs fitted nicely with plenty of space to hide away any extra cable length. Once filled and in place the unit removed the unsightly cable clutter and now it looks so much smarter. The company provides additional instructions in the form of how to videos on their website.
This product is great for anyone who cannot put up with unsightly cable clutter and also for pet owners (my cockatiel chewed up my Wii U charge cable pretty badly). This product also keeps your plugs dust free and provides added protection in case of spillages. I am happy to give this box 5 stars and would consider future products from D-Line.
